Sickening attacks were launched on two vulnerable men who were targeted for their phones. Police say a homeless man was punched in the face while an elderly man had coffee thrown over him during two city centre robberies.
The first incident took place on Saturday, July 1. Greater Manchester Police says it received a report that a homeless man, who had been asleep, was punched in the face before his phone was stolen.
Five days later, on Thursday, July 6, officers were informed that a pensioner had a cup of hot coffee thrown over him before being pushed to the ground.
