The Hollywood Bowl was forced to cancel Sunday evening’s Vance Joy concert after a power outage earlier in the day impacted 1,400 LA DWP households in the Hollywood area.
Sunday continued a heat wave in Southern California with another 100-plus-degree day. The start time of the concert, 7 p.m. PT, saw the thermometer still at 90 degrees in downtown L.A.
DTLA hit a record-high 104 degrees for the day Sunday, while UCLA (98) and Woodland Hills (111) tied records, according to the National Weather Service.
LA DWP reps told Deadline that there has been a “circuit outage” in the Hollywood area, meaning repair times will be longer.
