Ruth Langsford suffered a backhanded compliment on ITV This Morning yesterday at the hands of guest Alice Beer. Ruth, 62, delighted viewers with her welcome return to the ITV daytime show alongside Rylan Clark who was back himself after a 5 year hiatus to fill in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

The National Television Awards 2022 will take place on 15 September and with just a few weeks to go, the final shortlist for each category has been unveiled with one (or two) glaring omissions. The NTAs will be held at the OVO Arena in Wembley and presented by Joel Dommett but one award he won't be giving out is to TV favourites Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who have not been shortlisted for the TV presenter category.
