This Morning viewers will welcome a "naturally apprehensive" Holly Willoughby back to the sofa on Monday morning. In light of the ongoing Phillip Schofield scandal - the 61 year old recently issued a number of public statements, confirming both his immediate exit as presenter and an "on-off" affair with a young colleague - the last few weeks will have been stressful for all involved with This Morning.
Having enjoyed an early half-term family holiday in Portugal, it's now time for Holly, 42, to return to the screen alongside her new co-presenter Josie Gibson. "She was naturally apprehensive about getting back after her extended break," an insider told The Mirror. "So much has happened and it's been one storm after another.
But she needn't worry as the team are behind her. "Everyone is desperately hoping her speech draws a line under the matter, at least until the barrister-led review comes back," they added.
Apparently, This Morning bosses have even suggested there could be "a lot of tears and hugs" when the transmission begins on ITV.
