He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby was forced to ask the This Morning crew to "go back" during Tuesday's show, when she got her words jumbled up on the autocue.

The 39-year-old This Morning presenter, along with her co-star Phillip Schofield, reads her lines from an invisible autocue each day, helping to guide them through the two and a half hours of hosting.Unfortunately, once in a while they hit a speed wobble, as the words on the autocue leave them a little flustered.Today, Holly was attempting to introduce a segment on Australian cooking but got a little confused when the words appeared on the screen before her.She began: "Now, the weather's pretty miserable outside but we're not going to help you forget about…"Suddenly, Holly realised she was a little.
