Holly Willoughby has given a health update after having been forced to take an additional week off work. The presenter was due back at the helm of This Morning on Monday (April 17) after enjoying a two-week break with her children during the Easter holidays.

However, Holly's planned return alongside Phillip Schofield, who had already spent three weeks away from the ITV programme, was hit by a setback after she fell ill.

The 42-year-old confirmed in an Instagram post that she had shingles and there for would be off recovering at home. She confirmed she'd be away for a "few days" - which worked out to be the whole week of her usual hosting stint - due to being struck down by the painful condition.

She wrote on the distinctive green This Morning logo backdrop: "Hi ...just to let you know I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles," she said with a frustrated-face emoji.
