This Morning staff have reportedly been left frustrated following Holly Willoughby's sudden exit. The flagship ITV show has been in crisis mode after Phillip Schofield, 61, cut ties with the broadcaster after confessing to an affair with a younger male colleague.

Now following a tumultuous few months, Holly, 42, quit the ITV show to focus on her family over the coming months. ITV staff have been left frustrated following the ongoing drama, as MailOnline reports that workers were crying out of frustration that This Morning was at the centre of another scandal.

This Morning boss Martin Frizell reportedly only found out she would be leaving the show 20 minutes before her statement was released. "It has been one thing after another," one staff member said. "It’s like a soap opera and that’s OK if you’re one of the highly paid stars getting chauffeured to work and back, but if you’re grafting behind the scenes to keep things afloat, it’s incredibly frustrating."Holly decides to leave, she puts it on Instagram.

Imagine how that makes you feel. There were tears. The team has been through so much in the last year. Many feel they are at the end of their tethers.
