Hoda Kotb is back on Today after a two-week hiatus — and she’s ready to talk about why she was out… If you’ve been keeping up with the NBC morning news show, you’ll know the hosting team has endured a bit of a shakeup recently… If you remember, Hoda stepped off air February 17, with Craig Melvin and Sheinelle Jones revealing last Wednesday it was for “a family health matter.” A day prior to that, the 58-year-old’s co-host, Savannah Guthrie, also stepped away after testing positive for COVID on air.
Now, both anchors are back, and Hoda is opening up about the scary situation that’s kept her away. Hoda explained: How terrifying! We’re so glad she’s home and doing better now. Hoda continued: While the mother of two didn’t share details of what exactly her daughter had been diagnosed with, she was met with an overwhelming amount of love from the Today crew.
Savannah, who noted “it’s nice to have you right back where you belong,” supportively reassured her: Awww!
