Nearly every 90’s baby was ecstatic to find out that a Lizzie McGuire reboot was in the works. Because it was slated to premiere on Disney Plus, the writers and producers were worried about the show centered around a grown-up Lizzie in her 30’s wouldn’t be able to reach its full potential with a PG rating.
Hilary Duff even took to social media to plead for the series to get greenlit instead at Hulu, similar to Love, Victor that was originally supposed to stream on the Disney network.
