Rapidly rising Celtic star Daniel Cummings is reportedly attracting interest from a host of clubs across Europe. The 18-year-old has been on fire for the Hoops' B-team so far this season with 23 goals in 21 games across the Lowland League and UEFA Youth League.
But despite Brendan Rodgers' public admission that he wants a young striker to step in and provide the third choice behind Kyogo and Adam Idah, Cummings hasn't had a look in, and with his contract up at the end of the season, he may be the latest academy talent to leave for training compensation.Sky Sports say that Champions League sides Bologna, Club Brugge and RB Salzburg have all sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old striker closely.
He's also been linked with Sunderland in the past and will have plenty of options if indeed he does leave on the expiry of his contract, which looks increasingly likely.Rocco Vata is the cautionary tale in this regard after he left for Watford in the summer, having initially been the player Rodgers earmarked for the third-choice striker role.
He's had to wait for his chances but did himself no harm on Wednesday night, coming off the bench to fire in his first goal for the club against Hull in the 88th minute to equalise and earn a point.Elsewhere Celtic women are still searching for their first Champions League point after they were outclassed by Real Madrid last night.A double from Signe Bruun and a late third from Alba Redondo gave Madrid a comfortable victory at a freezing New Douglas Park.
