Hero sister died 'trying to save twin siblings' in Dublin machete attack

A hero sister babysitting her younger siblings died trying to save them in the Dublin machete attack. Lisa Cash, 18, and her eight-year-old twin siblings Christy and Chelsea Cawley were killed at their home in the early hours of Sunday (September 4), Birmingham Live reports.

The victims' 14-year-old brother was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, with their mum also injured in the attack but discharged from hospital later the same day.

Brother Andy Cash, 24, has been since been charged with the murder of his siblings and was brought before Dublin's Central Criminal Court at a special late night hearing yesterday (September 6).

St Aidan's Community School headteacher Kevin Shortall said: "She was a quiet, beautiful young girl, very diligent, hard-working.
