A quick-thinking dad told of the moment he talked down a suicidal teenager from a bridge after just finishing book called 'Reasons to Stay Alive'.
Tony Witton, 56, said "the dad in me came out" when he stopped Jess Paramor, then 19, from taking her own life when she was about to jump.
Now the two have spoken after Jess launched a campaign to find the man who had helped her through her darkest moments. The dad-of-two was walking to a nearby McDonald's when he spotted Jess on a bridge in Maidstone, Kent, and went over to ask if she was okay.
Taking her hand, he asked Jess to tell him a little bit about herself while helping her to return to safety and police were called.
