It’s a Hollywood satire with a starry ensemble cast including Jason Sudeikis, Adrien Brody, Kate Beckinsale, Common and Jason Bateman.Liotta, known for being an onscreen firebrand, plays a movie producer.Day, of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” told Willie Geist on “Today” in April that his “biggest regret” is that the late actor didn’t get to see the final film.“He delivers a performance that is, in my mind — I won’t say it’s ‘Goodfellas’ good, but it’s Ray Liotta good,” he said. “It’s up to his standards of what he can do well.”Director Ariel Vromen’s film about the 1992 Rodney King riots in Los Angeles was shot in Bulgaria and LA and also stars Scott Eastwood, Tyrese Gibson and Michael Beasley.

It was originally scheduled to be released in April 2022 for the 30th anniversary of the riots. But the drama ended up being filmed in early 2022 and, according to the website Movie Insider, has been completed.
