Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.As the Chancellor’s Eat Out to Help Out deal comes to an end, a number of Wishaw restaurants are going to be slashing their prices to continue the offer.The scheme saw diners save 50 per cent, up to £10, off meals and soft drinks in restaurants on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during August.And it proved popular, as restaurants saw a significant boost in business during the days the scheme was valid.50 restaurants in Motherwell and Wishaw saw 50,000 discounted meals over the month.This meant that customers saved a total of £316,000, an average of £6.32 per meal.To continue the savings, a number of restaurants in the area have said they will continue.
