Bosses of dingy homeless hotels have been accused of living in the lap of luxury while residents have put up with shameful conditions over the years.Mukul Biswas reports for work at an office in Glasgow in a flashy Porsche Taycan electric supercar, worth more than £90,000.Despite his flashy lifestyle, Biswas has found himself at the centre of accusations of failing to act on asbestos dangers at the hotel.Former maintenance manager Willie Stafford has accused Biswas of ignoring a report that flagged up potentially dangerous levels of the toxic material, which causes cancer, at the St Enoch Hotel in Glasgow.Willie, 56, was awarded £23,000 for wrongful dismissal after a tribunal upheld his claims that he was sacked for flagging up asbestos dangers at the St Enoch Hotel in 2020.He said: “The men running these places have made a fortune, which is plain to see.“But I proved out that they were not interested in following the recommendations of a report that suggested very high levels of asbestos in the hotel.“People at the hotels were living in squalor while the bosses were coining in millions.

It made me feel very uneasy in the time I was working there.”Businesses run by Biswas, along with partners Ikram Hussain and his son Adam, have collected millions of pounds in guaranteed rents from Glasgow City Council, which is trying to fend off a homelessness crisis.Willie Stafford was awarded £23,000 in October 2020 after his asbestos claims were found to be proven by Judge Shona MacLean.

But he never received a penny. The company behind the running of the St Enoch - Hill Glasgow Ltd - was dissolved by directors Mukul Biswas and Adam Hussain in June 2021, before Willie finalised his claim.
