Helen Mirren wins Lifetime Achievement SAG Award and makes cheeky joke

The SAG Awards marked somewhat of a return to normal to awards season as the first in-person televised ceremony of 2022, and the ratings are showing it. With big wins for Squid Game, CODA and Succession, the 2022 SAG Awards saw a rise in viewership to tally 1.8 million total viewers on TBS and TNT.

WITH 13 nominations and five wins in a glittering career, Dame Helen Mirren was the standout star of the 28th SAG Awards. On Sunday night’s bash, where accolades were handed out by the Screen Actors Guild, she was again honoured — this time with a Lifetime Achievement award. At the Santa Monica Barker Hangar in California, Helen dedicated her gong to her peers.
