Helen Mirren & Sara Bareilles Hit the Stage at the 2022 Roundabout Theatre Company Gala

The 76-year-old actress took to the stage to honor three-time Tony recipient Chita Rivera with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. “I know this is a prestigious award because I’ve received it,” Helen joked during her speech, per Variety.
She added, “Even a global pandemic can’t keep Chita down. I love you for showing women that our light can be inextinguishable, our energy unstoppable.” Other guests at the event included Sara Bareilles, who performed a special concert in honor of Chita, Jane Lynch, Cherry Jones, Tony Shalhoub, Richard Kind, Michael Kors and his husband Lance LePere, Betsy Wolfe, Kenny Leon and more.
