Hearts and Partick Thistle and the SPFL has finally ended the months-long dispute by confirming that both clubs SHOULD be relegated.
A verdict was delivered on Monday after a whole week of arguments and witness interviews. And the two clubs have had their places in this season's Championship and League One confirmed.
The Jambos and Thistle were sent down after finishing bottom of the league on a points-per-game average basis, despite both having an opportunity to stay up if the fixtures had been completed.They launched a legal bid soon after to reverse that outcome and their case was heard in Edinburgh's Court of Session.
