A heartbroken woman was forced to say goodbye to her dying dog over Facetime after it was mauled by an XL Bully. Ellie Jayne Moon and her fiancée Chloe were on a family holiday in Turkey when they received the devastating news that their 12-year-old cocker spaniel, Marley, had been critically injured.
The tragic incident occurred when a gate was accidentally left open at the kennels where Marley was being looked after by a pet sitter. Despite the efforts of a neighbour to intervene, Marley's injuries were deemed inoperable, leading the heartbroken couple to say their goodbyes to their beloved pet over FaceTime, reports the Mirror. "We had never left him on his own before, so we didn't want him to be any more distressed after being left.
We trusted them to look after him," Ellie said. "There were several things that contributed to what happened, but the bottom line is they told us Marley would be on his own.
