Lisa Marie Presley kept her son's body in her house for two months after his death, it has been reported. Lisa, who died last year at the age of 54, reportedly kept her son Benjamin's body in her home in a “separate casitas bedroom” after he died by suicide, a memoir finished by her daughter Riley Keough has alleged. “There is no law in the state of California that you have to bury someone immediately,” Riley wrote in the memoir, which has been seen by Page Six. “I found a very empathetic funeral home owner … She said, ‘We'll bring Ben Ben to you’.” Benjamin sadly died in August 2020 by suicide when he was 27 years old.
Following his passing, Lisa was inspired to write about her grief, before she died three years later. The memoir reportedly claims that Lisa, who was the daughter of Elvis Presley, kept Benjamin’s body at 55 degrees to preserve it.
Lisa also reportedly admits in the book that it was “strange” to keep her son’s body in her home. Sign up to OK!'s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free “I think it would scare the living f**king p*** out of anybody else to have their son there like that.
But not me,” she wrote. She also reportedly says that she found it difficult on deciding where to bury her son and was torn between Hawaii or at the Graceland estate where Elvis is buried.
