A young family say they are 'devastated' after their dog was killed after being hit by a car. Katie Colclough says three-year-old Milo was struck by a Grey Volkswagen Polo after he escaped from the family home in Stoke-on-Trent last Thursday (January 13).
Witnesses told the 28-year-old mum that the driver also hit a car before dragging Milo up the road, StokeonTrent Live reports. Milo's death has left Katie's daughter Lexi Bradbury, seven, and her six-year-old son Jamie devastated. "I put Milo out on his lead while we were all getting ready to go to bed," Katie said. "Lexi then shouted for him but he didn’t answer and I found his collar on the floor, he had snapped it.
We went out to look for him but it was cold and late. "Within five minutes of getting home he had jumped over the fence and was back in the garden.
