A teenager who was killed in a horror motorbike crash in Tameside has been named as Mckenna Leigh. Tributes have poured in for the 16-year-old who has been described by friends as a 'happy boy' with the 'kindest soul' after his tragic death in Audenshaw on Saturday (17 September).
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, rushed to Denton Road shortly after 1.10pm yesterday afternoon following reports of a collision between a Honda motorcycle and Vauxhall Vivaro van. READ MORE:Third murder arrest after boy left 'screaming for help' in garden dies The rider of the motorbike, understood to be Mr Leigh, suffered multiple injuries and sadly died a short time later, police confirmed in an update on Sunday morning.
His next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained officers. The driver of the Vivaro stayed at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.
Following news of Mr Leigh's tragic death, dozens of friends have paid tribute to the teenager. A gofundme page has also been set up to help support the youngster's family.
