Helen Flanagan has been open about her physical and mental health and has opened up again recently about her monthly battle with PMDD.The health condition, known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder, is a hormone-based disorder that causes severe symptoms in a woman's cycle.
Helen, 34, has spoke out about her condition before but has admitted that lately it has been the reason for her social media silence.
She said: "My PMDD this month has been off the scale, so I've been a bit quieter on social." The actress and star of Celebs Go Dating, also revealed that this month has lasted longer than usual. "It's lasted about 2 weeks this month, I post this to let other woman with PMDD know they are not on their own," followed by a pink heart emoji.
She added her supportive caption to a snap of her wearing pyjamas with her eyes closed, holding a tampon, in despair. The mum of three also added a happier snap afterwards of herself with new serious boyfriend, ex footballer Robbie Talbot, both smiling and posing for the camera. The pair, who started their relationship this summer while Helen was – controversially – still appearing on Celebs Go Dating, looked stunning and dressed to go out.
