manchestereveningnews.co.ukA man having a haircut leapt into action when he spotted a police officer being attacked. Kyle Whiting was having a trim in Warrington on Tuesday morning when he spotted the scuffle in the street outside.
A video shared on social media appears to show Kyle, who was still wearing his barber's cape, running over to pull the man away from the officer as other witnesses gather around to help.
Moments later an officer from an unmarked police car also runs over to the struggle. The officer suffered a broken finger and sore ribs following the attack.
Kyle was sitting in the chair getting the back of his head "shaved" when he notice the barber become distracted by something in the mirror.
