A gunman who opened fire at two separate shootings faces a lengthy jail sentence. Aaron Gray, 25 pulled the trigger at a taxi office in Salford then shot at a house in Whitefield months later.
No-one was hurt in either incident. Prosecutors alleged that Gray was the gunman and that 28-year-old drug dealer Dominic Hughes was also involved.
Both were convicted of involvement and face lengthy spells in jail. Another man, 29-year-old Benjamin Yates, was acquitted of being part of the Salford shooting. After hearing a 'loud bang' at the door, she went to check who was there. "She looked through the window and she saw there was a man stood with a gun," prosecutor Andrew Ford QC told jurors "He was pointing the barrel of the gun towards her." Mr Ford said the woman shouted to a colleague: "He's got a f****** gun." Shortly after she heard a 'loud bang'. "It need hardly be said, it was terrifying," Mr Ford said.
