A source close to Liam Payne has spoken out about his final hours, saying that he "did not want to die" and "would still be with us" if action had been taken earlier.

The 31-year-old tragically passed away on Wednesday after falling from the third-floor balcony at the hotel he was staying at in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to reports and eyewitness statements, Liam had been behaving erratically in the lobby of the hotel shortly before the incident took place.

Hotel guest Brett Watson, from Chicago, told ITV that Liam had come back down to the lobby several times - and at one point, had become "very frustrated" and was "smashing his laptop" in front of other guests.
