Haydock inspect for Saturday after arrival of Storm Christoph but Ascot prospects better

Hopes of Haydock staging its Saturday fixture appear to be fading as an inspection has been called to assess conditions. Officials will take a look at the track at 8am tomorrow morning, with waterlogged areas a cause for concern.

The meeting is due to feature popular staying handicap the Peter Marsh Chase plus the return of dual Champion Hurdle hero Buveur D'Air.
