Harry Styles has made history by welcoming Scotland's largest ever live audience at his Edinburgh show on Saturday evening. The former One Direction star broke the record at the Scotland rugby team's Murrayfield Stadium, where more than 65,000 fans converged to watch his performance on May 27.
Styles, 29, also welcomed tens of thousands to his preceding show in the Scottish capital on Friday May 26, but Saturday set a benchmark as the biggest audience for a musical performance in the country's history.
An official statement from show promoters DF Concerts & Events and BT Murrayfield reads: 'Saturday night's Harry Styles concert is the highest-selling stadium concert in Scotland ever with an attendance of over 65,000. 'Thanks to every single one of you for a fantastic evening. ' The figure dwarfs that of local star Lewis Capaldi, who broke the indoor record in January by selling 14,951 tickets for a live show at Aberdeen's P&J Live.
Styles is part way through the last leg of his Love On Tour, a mammoth 169 date undertaking that began at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas almost two years ago.
