Rupert Grint has revealed he would return to his role of Harry Potter's Ron Weasley for a big screen adaptation of spin off play The Cursed Child. The 33 year old, who recently had a reunion with cast mates for The Return to Hogwarts, appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss TV show Servant when he was asked about a possible reprisal of JK Rowling's Ron.

Richard Arnold, 52, brought the topic up on 20 January as he said: "Of course we couldn't let him go without finding out if he sees a future back in the bosom of the Weasley family with the potential big screen adaptation of spin off play The Cursed Child. "We asked him about going back to the franchise some day and for Harry Potter fans it seems to be good news." I feel this kind of ownership of Ron in a weird way. Although I loved seeing the play, it was a real thrill seeing someone else take that body over." Rupert, who welcomed his first child Wednesday with Georgia Groome in May 2020, added: "But yeah, if the others did, I think yeah." It comes as Rupert and Emma Watson both recently admitted they nearly quit Harry Potter after shooting to fame at a young age.
