Harry Maguire was kicked in the leg by police officers who told him 'your career is over', a Greek court heard this morning.
The court had been asked to postpone proceedings over the Manchester United captain's alleged involvement in a brawl in Mykonos in Greece - but the trial started today.
Maguire's lawyer told the court that the footballer was kicked in the leg by police and told his football career was over, Sky's Martha Kelner reports.
The trial also heard how Maguire allegedly told officers: "Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go."The 27-year-old was not present at his trial after flying back to the UK at the weekend following his release on.
