Maguire saw appeals for a spot-kick waved away in the second half of United's 3-1 victory at Goodison Park, which came via two goals from Bruno Fernandes and a late Edinson Cavani strike.
Referee Paul Tierney did not give Maguire a penalty after an alleged foul by Jordan Pickford in the box and the VAR officials agreed with the on-field decision after a brief check.
And Maguire believed he fouled Pickford in the build-up to the incident, as he said in a post match interview with MUTV after the win.
