He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

In the wake of their royal reputation-savaging Netflix docuseries, Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle have reportedly been instructed to talk about "nothing but the weather" should they decide to show up for King Charles III's springtime coronation.

Relations between Harry, 38, and his dad, 74, are at an all-time low these days, having admitted just last month that things "couldn't be worse", yet Charles' youngest son is still on the invitation list for his official crowning, which will be televised across the world.

Joining GB News presenter Mark Dolan for a catch-up this week, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield shared: "This is my favourite part of everything that I've been reading about the Coronation: a source close to the royal family says that Harry and Meghan should be prepared to talk to senior royals about nothing but the weather, which we can all understand! "Loose lips sink ships..."
