Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have had millions of viewers tune in to their explosive Netflix docuseries but in the end that didn't matter because they still didn't make the shortlist for the nominations for the Emmy Awards 2023 The series explored their relationship and the time they spent within the royal family which included a number of shocking allegations made against the Firm.Within the first week, the show averaged 4.8m viewers which is more than what popular shows like Stranger Things and The Crown brought in.However, royal expert Kinsey Schofield claims that the Sussexes don't have the "consistency, talent, and hard work" of their Hollywood peers and competitors in order to be successful, the Mirror reports.
Speaking to Daily Express US, Kinsey said she could not imagine Harry and Meghan being placed next to some of the biggest names in the industry as she argued that those stars are on different levels of work ethic.Schofield also made it clear she was not a fan of the couple's Netflix documentary as she said:" Netflix's Harry & Meghan was a one-sided docuseries full of contradictions.
It left a lot to be desired."The Emmy snub is only one of the long series of rejections that the coupe has recently faced in Hollywood as the former Suits actress seems to not possess the same power in the industry she once had.Meghan's Archetypes podcast was also cancelled last month after just 12 episodes following the sudden end of the couple's $25m deal with Spotify.
A staff member at Archewell told the Wall Street Journal, similarly to Schofield, that Harry and Meghan "seem surprised by the work required to finish entertainment projects" which meant their podcast lacked "direction".
