Hannah Berner is apologizing after an awkward interview with Megan Thee Stallion went viral.
The 33-year-old Giggly Squad podcast host spoke out following intense backlash on social media for her choice of words when interviewing the 30-year-old “Body” rapper on the red carpet at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 2) in Los Angeles.
During the interview, Hannah pointed out that she watched Megan‘s In Her Words Prime Video documentary, and excitedly said “your music has literally — when I want to fight someone, I listen to your music.” Megan responded with: “Because you want to throw that fighting s—t out the window and you want to get cute and be a bad b—h.” Hannah went on and said: “When people are talking s—t, I go, ‘Turn on Megan Thee Stallion!’” Many viewers felt that the interaction was a “microaggression,” labeling it as “racist” and expressing confusion and anger for associating Megan‘s music with fighting, which is not subject matter she brings up in her songs.
