Hamilton post office to reopen after two-year closure

Hamilton is to have a post office restored to the heart of its town centre for the first time in more than two years.Post Office officials have confirmed that a new office will reopen in March at the same Cadzow Street premises which last housed the service before its closure in January 2023.The news has been given a warm welcome by community representatives, including Hamilton councillor Gavin Keatt – who organised a 600-signature petition against the closure and says that the post office’s restoration is “brilliant news” for the town and for customers – particularly elderly people who previously made regular use of the service.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
