Former Hamilton Accies midfielder Dougie Imrie has been questioned by police probing match-fixing allegations.Police have spoken to the former midfielder, who is also a coach at the club, about an alleged incident that took place during a match in the 2018/19 season.
He was held without charge and released.It was alleged that the 36-year-old was yellow carded during a match, an incident in which he had allegedly placed a bet on.Officers at the Scottish Crime Campus at Gartcosh are leading an inquiry into bets made on specific events in games.
Their specialist squads are based there.Current rules state that players can't bet on football, and police can become involved if an allegation of fraud is raised.
