Halloween events announced for South Ayrshire as Tamfest gets underway

South Ayrshire is gearing up for spooky season with some ghoulish goings on as Tamfest makes a return this month for the ninth year.The frighteningly fun festival will see something for the whole family with events running throughout October, rounding off with the festival taking over the newly opened - and appropriately named - Cutty Sark Centre at the bottom of Ayr High Street on Sunday, October 29.Those looking for a trick or treat can visit ‘Tam’s Auld Haunts’ at Rozelle House - where his tale has come to life through the eyes and words of those closest to him with performances from the Gaiety.Visitors can wander through the transformed galleries, meeting the people who know Tam best including a chatty Inn Keeper, Tam’s wife Kate, a long-suffering Farmer, and the eponymous Cutty Sark.
