Haim announce new comeback single ‘Relationships’

Haim have announced their comeback single ‘Relationships’ and have shared the track’s artwork which possibly features a nod to Nicole Kidman.The sister trio – comprised of Este Haim, Alana Haim and Danielle Haim – have been hinting at their return to music this past month starting with an Instagram post from Danielle’s 36th birthday party.

The caption of the post read: “(ha)i’m single.. haim single?”.They then followed that with a video clip in which all three members can be seen dancing to M83‘s hit single ‘Midnight City’ with a voiceover saying: “We are back baby, we are fucking back.”A post shared by HAIM (@haimtheband)Last week, the band shared another video clip of them in a bathroom dancing and singing along to an unreleased song. “I hear a voice in my head and it keeps asking why am I in this relationship / Baby how can I explain when an innocent mistake turns into 17 days / Fucking relationships,” sings Danielle over a breezy pop beat.Now, Haim have announced that ‘Relationships’ will be their next single.

The single’s artwork sees all three women standing outside in the sun looking free and happy.The photo may be an homage to Nicole Kidman’s viral 2001 photos, which many have claimed to be of the actress leaving her lawyer’s office after signing papers to divorce her then husband Tom Cruise.
