Hades took the coveted best game award at the BAFTA Games ceremony on March 25. Hades was recognized for its narrative, while the performer in a leading role award went to Laura Bailey for The Last of Us Part II.
The best debut game was given to Carrion.The EE game of the year award — which is new this year and the only category voted on by the public — went to The Last of Us Part II.
Meanwhile, Animal Crossing took home the game beyond entertainment award, which recognizes a project that raises awareness about key social issues or engages with real-world problems in a way that builds empathy and understanding.
