data hack involving top entertainment law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, the party purportedly responsible for the hack, which calls itself REvil, has demanded $1 million or it will auction off a vast amount of sensitive documents from some of its top clients beginning on July 1, including Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Lebron James, followed two days later by Bad Boy Records, MTV and Universal, and then an unspecified one on the 5th.The first three bids start at $600,000; Bad Boy is $750,000 and the latter two $1 million.The note, written in an almost comical broken English, reads in part, “We have so many value files, and the lucky ones who buy these data will be satisfied for a very long time.
