Gypsy Rose Blanchard is getting released from prison earlier than expected. In July 2016, Gypsy Rose, 32, pleaded guilty to murder for her role in the murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
She was sentenced to 10 years in prison. On Thursday (Sept. 28), it was revealed that Gypsy Rose has been granted parole and will be released from prison within the next few months. Keep reading to find out more… Gypsy Rose is now scheduled to be released on Dec.
28, 2023, the Missouri Department of Corrections announced, Springfield News-Leader reports. By her release, she will have served 85% of her 10-year prison sentence.
Prior to her sentencing, Gypsy Rose spent time in the Greene County Jail, and her time in the county jail contributes to her overall sentence. Dee Dee was found dead in June 2015 and soon after Gypsy Rose and her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn were both charged with first-degree murder. Godejohn, 32, was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2019 after a trial where he was convicted of murdering Dee Dee in the first-degree.
