The £3m signing opted against sticking around in the swanky AIK Stockholm academy and decided he wanted to slum it in the senior ranks instead.
Lagerbiekle learned his trade down in the second and third tiers in his homeland but he reckons it’s been the making of him.
The 23-year-old had spells at lowly Sollentuna and Vasteras – as well as a loan at Degerfors – before cracking it at Elfsborg and played his way to Parkhead.
