Group of young men rescued from Lake district hike after taking magic mushrooms

A group of men had to be rescued from a mountain in the Lake District this weekend after taking magic mushrooms. Emergency workers from Keswick Mountain Rescue were called out over the Easter bank holiday to help the group who had got themselves in a difficult situation.

The rescue team were forced to intervene at Stonycroft and Newlands after some of the men became unwell, the ECHO reports.A spokesperson for the rescue team confirmed that multiple walkers had raised the alarm after bypassing a group of 'young adults' who had taken magic mushrooms.Two of the group, including the designated driver, fell unwell while on the walk.

Posting about the incident on Facebook, a spokesperson for Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: "A number of calls were received via passers by, who had come across a group of young adult males who had taken magic mushrooms."Two in the group were feeling unwell including the driver in the party.
