A Greater Manchester pub has been shortlisted for an award at this year's Great British Pub Awards. The annual event shortlists venues from up and down the UK and judges them based on a number of categories.
After receiving an 'incredible' number of entries for this year's awards, organisers have whittled it down to the 'very best the nation has to offer', The awards showcase the exciting variety and quality present in the UK pub scene, with an emphasis on excellence for pub goers all around the nation.
The only Greater Manchester pub to be make the final shortlist this year is The Crown & Anchor in the Northern Quarter. The venue on the corner of Hilton Street and Port Street has been nominated in the Stonegate Group Pub Partners Pub of the Year category. Surrounded by some a number of restaurants, bars and shops, it recently underwent a renovation and also encompasses a hotel in the hysteric building.
