A play centre in Greater Manchester is letting parents pay what they can in a bid to help struggling families. The policy first launched at The Hideaway, inside Partington Shopping Centre, last year, but has proved so successful that it's here to stay.
It means that while donations are encouraged, there's no obligation on parents to pay the entrance fees that usually apply to attractions like this. There's also a separate Hideout session for older kids offering gaming, air hockey and more. Aimed at over sevens, these cost £5 and can be booked online.
A café is available for all visitors, serving hot and cold meals in a Noah’s Ark themed family restaurant. Main meals are £6.50 or two for £10 and kids eat for £3.50.
