Now that the days are longer and brighter it’s the perfect time to get outside and explore the beautiful landscapes we have right on our doorstep.
We’re spoilt for choice in Greater Manchester with miles upon miles of gorgeous countryside to visit nearby. The rambling countryside of Lancashire is full of beauty spots and walking trails, many of which are within easy reach of Manchester.
It’s a landscape of rugged moorland, magical woodlands and rolling green hills. Lancashire is also home to several waterfalls, which make for the perfect focal point for a springtime walk.
One of them is Hatch Brook Waterfall, hidden among the trees of the Wheeldon Plantation, located north of Rivington and east of Chorley.
