The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms from 4am today until 11.59pm tonight. The warning covers parts of northern England, including Greater Manchester, North Wales, and central Scotland.
According to the Met Office, some places could see around 20mm to 30mm of rain in a relatively short time period and there is a chance that some places could see as much as 50mm to 70mm building up over the course of the day.
