Great British Bake Off fans were devastated when Hermine got the chop on Tuesday's semi finals. Mum-of-one Hermine had been a huge fan favourite the entire series and had regularly impressed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
But patisserie week saw Hermine fall flat as bakers were asked to bake a Danish cornucopia cake as their technical challenge.
The cake, otherwise known as Horn of Plenty, sparked a lot of problems for the bakers and a lot of innuendos from hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas.
The signature round was a boozy cake, while the showstopper challenge was to create a cake made out of smaller cakes. Hermine expected to do well, with Prue telling her: "This will be your day".
