Grease star shares Olivia Newton-John's sweet gesture just before she died

Loose Women, Didi Conn spoke to the ladies about her friend Dame Olivia Newton-John and the sweet gesture that she made just before she passed away.Didi explained that two months ago she wasn't very well and had caught a "bout of something".READ MORE: Olivia Newton-John dies aged 73 after 30-year battle with breast cancerTo make her feel better, Olivia sent her a beautiful orchid and she said it really cheered her up.In an interview with the Mirror Didi spoke about the orchid: "“There have been no flowers on it, then on Friday a bud appeared. "I thought, ‘that’s a sign that something’s going to happen’.

I spent that whole night thinking about her. And a few days later I heard the news.“Now two more buds have appeared so I’m calling them Olivia, Chloe and John.”Didi also spoke to the Loose Women about how nervous Olivia was on the first day of filming for Grease.

So much so that when Didi saw her shaking she though that it might help her if they tried some improvisation. She approached Olivia and said: "So what's school like in Australia then?" Olivia soon caught on an joined in, after the filming Olivia came over to Didi and said "thank you so much for that."The two have been firm friends ever since.Olivia died peacefully surrounded by family and friends after a brave and extraordinarily public decades-long battle with cancer.Her husband John Easterling announced her death on her Facebook page.'Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends.'We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time." Dame Olivia's charity, the Olivia Newton John Foundation, has raised millions of pounds to support.
