Grant Hanley has revealed his Scotland dream drove him through almost NINE MONTHS of injury agony.And the Norwich captain says motivation to make Euro 2024 will keep pushing him after successfully fighting back from the pain of his lay-off.
Just days after helping Steve Clarke’s side dump Spain on a famous night at Hampden last March, Hanley was savagely cut down by a devastating Achilles setback.
The 32-year-old was forced to miss the remainder of the campaign, but his rehabilitation was boosted by the triumphs of the squad.Scotland’s qualification for Germany sealed a fabulous run and Hanley says simply the chance to earn a crack at making the manager’s 23-man squad for this summer’s showpiece was a major driving force through the long months of absence.
